Brad Thompson
After serving in the US Navy from 1975 – 1979, Brad started in the molding and mold making industry with the Toro Company specializing in Die Casting and Mold repair. Six years later, he moved to Texas and began working in Plastic Injection Mold Building and Molding at several shops and molding facilities. Because of his experience, Brad moved into shop management at OYO Geospace and Texas Jacobson. After Texas Jacobson, he opened his own mold building shop which he sold after 2 ½ years to Stellar Plastics for whom he became a shop manager. 5 ½ years later Brad re-entered the business world as an owner when he and John opened Thompson Stearns in 2010.
John Stearns
Coming from a background of production machine work, John entered the mold making industry in 1977 in Southern California. He worked with Sonic Machine and Kingson Mold and Machine before beginning a 22 year career with Cal-Tron Corp. as a mold maker and tool shop supervisor. In 2004 John moved to Clackamas, Orgeon where he worked for Buss Precision Mold. Then he moved to San Marcos, Texas in 2007 to work for Stellar Plastics where he met Brad.
